- Awarded 2nd prize at the Graduate School-McGovern Poster Competition for the research work titled “Tumor Vaccines are effective in T Cell Depleted Bone Marrow Transplant”.
- Awarded 1st prize at the Health Care Team Competition by the University of Texas at Houston. The competition was based on team effort to solve medical problems.
- Awarded the prestigious Travel Award by the American Society of Hematology and the Graduate School to present the work at the American Society of Hematology meeting at Orlando, Florida in December 2001.
- Awarded “Honorable Mention” at the poster competition at the M D Anderson Cancer Center as part of the Trainee Recognition Day. The poster title was “Clearing the pathway towards a clinical trial-Tumor vaccines in T cell depleted bone marrow transplant”.
